Night On Broadway

I LOVE LA.

I love the diversity, history and culture that make up this sprawling metropolis I call home.

When Mumtaz Marketing and Events approached me to help cover Night on Broadway– the 7th anniversary of council member Jose Huizar’s Bringing Back Broadway, I jumped at the chance!

Thanks to Bringing Back BroadwayThe Los Angeles Streetcar and the Los Angeles Neighborhood Initiative, The Historic Broadway Theater District opened it’s doors allowing the public access to their gorgeous Beaux Arts and Art Deco theaters featuring various programs in 6 of the theaters. There were more than a dozen food trucks, exhibits by local artists, a vintage car show, family area, booths from local DTLA businesses and a main stage featuring live musical performances. The event was a huge success bringing traffic of about 30 to 35 thousand people!

The sense of community and city pride was felt throughout the evening.

I gotta say. I think I love my city even more now. :)
